Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (or adjust to taste)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Set aside about 2 tablespoons of the marinade for later use.

Marinate the Shrimp: Place the shrimp in a large bowl or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the majority of the marinade over the shrimp, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator for optimal flavor.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the marinade and add them directly to the hot skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. (Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the shrimp.)

Add the Sauce: Pour the reserved marinade over the cooked shrimp, stirring to coat them evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and glaze the shrimp.

Serve: Remove from heat, and transfer the glazed shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top for extra crunch and flavor.

Enjoy: Serve immediately with steamed rice or as an appetizer with toothpicks for an impressive presentation!
