Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 lime, juiced (plus extra wedges for serving)

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

1 teaspoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)

Instructions

In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. If you prefer a hint of sweetness, add the honey as well. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss until they are evenly coated. Allow the shrimp to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.

Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are pink and opaque.

Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.

Serve the chili garlic lime shrimp with lime wedges and your choice of side, like rice, quinoa, or stir-fried vegetables.
