Ingredients

8 hot dogs, sliced into rounds

1 can (15 oz) chili (with or without beans, your preference)

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of your favorite cheeses)

1/2 cup diced onion (optional)

1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional, for extra heat)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish with olive oil.

Prepare the Chili Base: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced hot dogs, chili, minced onion, jalapeños (if using), garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the hot dogs are evenly coated.

Assemble the Casserole: Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it out over the bottom of the greased casserole dish, pressing the seams together to create a single layer. Make sure it covers the entire base of the dish.

Layer the Chili Mixture: Pour the chili and hot dog mixture over the crescent roll base, spreading it evenly across the dough.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the chili mixture. Make sure to cover as much surface area as possible for a cheesy top!

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve: Once done, take the casserole out of the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes before serving. This will help it firm up a bit. Slice into squares and enjoy while warm!
