Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked ground beef (seasoned with taco seasoning)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/2 cup black olives, sliced (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, black olives (if using), green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well until fully combined.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Pinch the seams together to create a flat sheet of dough.

Cut the Dough: Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into rectangles, about 3 inches wide by 5 inches long.

Add the Filling: Place a generous tablespoon of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each rectangle. Be careful not to overfill, as you need to seal the sticks.

Fold and Seal: Fold the dough over the filling to form a stick. Pinch the edges together to seal. You can also use a fork to crimp the edges for a fancier look.

Brush with Egg: Arrange the taco sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the sticks are golden brown and fluffy.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping!
