Ingredients

1 package (15 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning

1/2 cup water

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup black beans (drained and rinsed)

1/2 cup corn (frozen or canned)

1 small jalapeño, diced (optional)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water; stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.

Mix in Cheeses and Veggies: To the ground meat mixture, add the cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, black beans, corn, and diced jalapeño. Stir until everything is well-combined.

Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, approximately ¼-inch thick. Cut the dough into strips about 4 inches wide.

Assemble the Taco Sticks: Take a strip of dough and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the cheesy taco filling onto one end. Roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go to seal the filling inside. Place the rolled taco stick seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough strips and filling.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the taco sticks with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the taco sticks are golden brown and puffed.

Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Pair with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
