1 package (15 oz) frozen cheese ravioli

3 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Olive oil for drizzling

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Marinara: In a medium saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes until fragrant.

      Layer the Ingredients: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the marinara sauce on the bottom to prevent sticking.

        Add Ravioli: Layer half of the frozen cheese ravioli over the marinara sauce evenly.

          Ricotta Layer: Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese over the ravioli layer. Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over the ricotta.

            Mozzarella and Parmesan: Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the marinara.

              Repeat Layers: Add another layer of the frozen ravioli, followed by the remaining marinara sauce, and finish with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

                Drizzle Olive Oil: Lightly drizzle olive oil over the top layer of cheese for added richness.

                  Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (to prevent burning) and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                    Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
