Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

4 garlic cloves, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon slices for garnish

Optional: Additional fresh herbs (like parsley or chives), for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped dill, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Use a brush or spoon to generously coat the tops of the fillets with the lemon dill butter marinade. Reserve a small amount for serving later.

Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Broil for Extra Flavor (Optional): If you desire a crispy top, switch to broil for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Keep a close watch to prevent burning.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle any remaining marinade over the top. Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon slices for a vibrant presentation.

Enjoy: Serve the Buttery Lemon Dill Salmon warm, alongside your favorite sides such as steamed asparagus or wild rice.
