Ingredients

For the Biscuit Crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

3/4 cup buttermilk

For the Sausage Gravy:

1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

For the Pizza Assembly:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 large eggs

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a 12-inch pizza pan or a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Biscuit Crust: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually stir in the buttermilk until a dough forms. Do not overmix.

Shape the Crust: Turn the biscuit dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it out to fit your pizza pan, about 1/2 inch thick. Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and gently press it into shape, creating a slight edge for the crust.

Pre-bake the Crust: Bake the biscuit crust in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until it starts to set but is not fully browned. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Prepare the Sausage Gravy: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula, until well browned (about 6-8 minutes). Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine, cooking for another minute.

Make the Gravy: Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Continue to stir and cook until the gravy thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Pizza: Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the pre-baked biscuit crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the gravy. Carefully crack the eggs on top of the pizza, spacing them out evenly.

Bake the Breakfast Pizza: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny (or to your desired doneness).

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the pizza from the oven. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for a fresh finish. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
