Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 lemon (zested and juiced)

Fresh lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Coating: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to blend all the dry ingredients.

Prepare Tilapia: Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over each fillet, making sure they are well coated.

Coat the Fillets: Take a handful of the Parmesan-panko mixture and press it onto the top of each tilapia fillet. Make sure to coat generously for that perfect crust. If desired, sprinkle any extra mixture around the fillets for added crunch.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tilapia is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The topping should be golden brown and crispy.

Add Zest: Just before serving, sprinkle the zest from the lemon over the cooked fillets for an extra burst of citrus flavor.

Serve: Plate the Baked Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia with fresh lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy this delicious, crispy dish with a side of steamed vegetables or a light salad.
