Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, spinach (if using), Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Prep the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Do not separate the individual triangles; instead, pinch the seams together to form a single rectangle.

Create the Braid: Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, make cuts along the long sides of the rectangle, about 1 inch apart, stopping about 2 inches from the center. The center will be where you place the filling.

Add the Filling: Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture into the center of the dough rectangle, spreading it evenly.

Braid the Dough: Fold the strips of dough over the filling, one side at a time, alternating sides to create a braid effect. Press the ends to seal and tuck them under slightly.

Egg Wash: Brush the top of the crescent braid with the beaten egg to give it a golden color while baking.

Bake: Place the braided chicken alfredo in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.

Slice and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice the braid into portions and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
