Air Fryer Spinach Ricotta Wontons

Ingredients
  

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste

24 wonton wrappers

1 egg, beaten (for sealing)

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions
 

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

    Assemble the Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface, and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the spinach ricotta mixture into the center of the wrapper.

      Seal the Wontons: Dip your finger in the beaten egg and run it along the edges of the wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling to form a triangle, pressing down to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets. For added flair, you can crimp the edges with a fork. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

        Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

          Air Fry the Wontons: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the assembled wontons in a single layer in the basket (you may need to do this in batches). Spray the wontons lightly with olive oil spray.

            Cooking: Air fry the wontons for 7-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.

              Serve: Remove the wontons from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
