Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

1 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt, to taste

Cooking spray or olive oil spray for crisping

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and ranch seasoning. Add the chicken strips, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for better flavor absorption.

Prepare the Coating: In another bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to preheat for about 5 minutes.

Coat the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the buttermilk marinade, shaking off excess liquid. Dredge each strip into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the coating adheres well.

Arrange in the Air Fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. You may need to do this in batches.

Air Fry the Chicken Tenders: Spray the tops of the chicken tenders lightly with cooking spray. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Serve: Remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as extra ranch, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce.
