1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-style)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using).
