Ingredients

1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

2 tablespoons chopped pecans (for garnish)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Rinse and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any outer leaves that are yellow or wilted. Cut them in half from top to bottom.

Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Coat the Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, add the halved Brussels sprouts. Pour the maple glaze over the sprouts and toss until they are evenly coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for approximately 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Sprouts: Place the coated Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they have room for air to circulate. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to do this in batches.

Cook: Air fry the Brussels sprouts for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the Brussels sprouts from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and fresh parsley for a lovely touch. Drizzle with a little extra maple syrup if desired, then serve warm.
