Ingredients

2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped finely

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg, beaten

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray

Instructions

Prepare the Broccoli: Start by steaming or microwaving the broccoli florets until just tender but still bright green, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and let cool, then chop finely.

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the Poppers: Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1 inch in diameter. Make sure they are compact enough to hold together.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Spray and Arrange: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the broccoli cheddar poppers in a single layer in the basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.

Air Fry: Cook the poppers for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. You may want to flip them halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.

Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or sriracha mayo.
