Ingredients

1 lb potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

8 oz burrata cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Gnocchi: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the top (about 2-3 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add Tomatoes and Cream: Pour in the crushed tomatoes, then stir in the heavy cream. Mix in dried basil and oregano, and season with salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken, about 5-7 minutes.

Combine Gnocchi and Sauce: Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and gently stir to coat them in the creamy tomato sauce. Cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Serve: Spoon the gnocchi into serving bowls. Tear the burrata into pieces and place it on top of the gnocchi. Drizzle with olive oil and add fresh basil leaves for garnish. For an extra touch, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy, delicious flavors!
