Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 limes (zested and juiced)

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine the lime juice and zest, minced garlic, olive oil, honey, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Add the Shrimp: Place the shrimp in the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Grill: While the shrimp marinates, preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Skewer the Shrimp: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 10 minutes prior to prevent burning. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, discarding any leftover marinade.

Grill the Shrimp: Place the skewers on the hot grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, being careful not to overcook.

Serve: Carefully remove the shrimp from the grill. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges for an extra zing.
